Just throwing this out there: Isn't the Jambo insignia suppose to be removed 6 months after the event? My son went this year, but we set him up with a specific Jambo uniform rather than taking all of his insignia off, Jambo on, Jambo off, home Troop back on, etc.

NO. The National Jamboree patch can be worn forever by anyone who was a registered staff member or registered participant at the Jamboree. It should be replaced with the most recent version if you attend another National Jamboree (as a registered participant or staffer). Although the Insignia Guide refers to the "Current" Jamboree patch, I've always interpreted the intent to be "The upcoming or most recently attended" Jamboree.Cowboy wrote:Isn't the Jambo insignia suppose to be removed 6 months after the event? No, the correct permanent placement is above the right pocket (if they attended as registered participants). I assume that's what Jerry meant (in front of the right shoulder).razor-strop wrote:WV, we had a couple boys from our troop attend the NJ. They're wearing the patch above their right chest pocket right now. Should they move it to the right shoulder sleeve as you mention above, and where does it go there?

Where does one get an "official BSA policy" copy of the "supplement" to the Insignia Guide used above?
