A different way to look at this.

Life to Eagle takes on average of about 450 hrs.

The other ranks about 300 each.

So an eagle has a minimum of 2250 hrs. If he earned AOL as a webelo make that about 3250 hrs. For comparison, it takes about 3000 hrs to receive an associate degree from college. So to all you eagles out there: Congratulations you earned it.

Nice math but I disagree it takes 300 hours each to get the ranks tenderfoot -firstclass

When you add up the hours spent at outings and overnight campouts, it sounds reasonable to me.

apparently, 3000 hours is equivalent to 125 days. i actually didn't know that it took 125 days to get an associate degree. that's really cool calculations! :D
