Official Crew Shorts

Postby ThunderingWind » Thu Oct 30, 2008 7:14 am

I am looking for the proper procedure to request that the Supply Division obtain new Crew shorts that are fast drying with a built-in swim suit type mesh liner.

Why dost thou mock me so?

The Crew wants only official BSA stuff and the current stuff just is not cutting it for the activities planned.

Mainly, it is my girls who are driving this. We are headed to Sea Base next summer. They already found the super fast drying foundation garments and want to cover themsleves with ultra fast drying shorts and t-shirts. They figured they would help the boys out by getting shorts that have the mesh liner (swim suit type) and then just cut it out because it does not fit the women correctly.

We got t-shirts as they do not have to be BSA official per our phone conversation with Sea Base. However, Sea Base prefers all Crews match and that official BSA uniforms be worn. We took the tone of "prefers" to be "required if at all possible."

But what is the procedure to at least make the request even it is ultimately denied?

And, Yes, I do realize that you were not really mocking me but it made a good opening to match the silly icon face.

Have the Girls compose a letter and send it to National Supply.Your Service Center should be able to give you the correct address.

BSA already makes official BSA swim trunks (very nice - highly reccommend to all - no scout is complete without).

Sew on a Venturing patch over the BSA logo, presto prestissimo, you have Venturing swim shorts suitable for any Crew.
