Does anyone know of a camp that teaches MB's that you really don't see at most camps.

Where we attend summer camp, Seven Ranges in Eastern OH, they offer Energy......

Don't know how unique or obscure that is...

My son took Truck Transportation at a Merit Badge Jamboree a few months ago, because he was late to register and the choices were limited. Turns out that he had a great time. The instructor was engaging and my son learned a lot.

That's a pretty rare badge in my neck of the woods.

The take-away from that is to take a chance on something out of your comfort zone... you may find you like it.

Good luck in finding the unusual badge offerings.

Camp Manatoc in Ohio teaches Sculpture and Energy.

One of our boys earned Pulp and Paper recently. That is one you don't see often!

I found a camp in Maryland that has a lot of MB's that most camps don't. Camp Spencer in the Baltimore area. http://www.intandem.com/BAC/BCMSR/BCCosts.html

Painting (as in House/Building)

Postby ThunderingWind » Tue Jul 10, 2007 4:09 pm

Camp Seph Mack is teaching Painting, as in House and Building painting. The Scouts are painting part of camp as one of the requirements.

My daughter is the instructor.

I do not know if they are teaching cooking at Camp Seph Mack this summer. Check the Penn's Woods Council web site. The traing schedule is posted as a PDF.
