The Philmont Twelve Days of Christmas

Postby stevejb68 » Wed Dec 05, 2007 10:28 am

I invite you to check out the latest entry to "A Scoutmaster's Blog" and read about having a night of Christmas at Philmont during a trek in August, 1992.

There is very little mash potatoes, gravy, beef, or lemon pie left over when the group finishes.

WHAT!!!!! We never got any good food like that!.....But I do love the song the printed to it and will ask if we can sing it while were doing our annual multi-troop caroling. I even saved a few items of food from Philmont I could use :D .

Good ahead and use it pipestone. And if you video tape it I would like to see it. Do a good job and maybe I will even use it for one of my video Scouting podcasts, if everyone in it is agreeable to it.

You mean you did not get mashed potatoes, gravy, beef, and pie? I think you were on the wrong trek. :)
Last time I was there in 2004 we even had cheese cake for one meal. Yum!!

Actually, it was dried food, like most food at Philmont. But when made properly... mmm mmm good!
