We have participated for the past 3 years. If you can find a place with a computer lab so that your entire unit can do it together, it is great! Exciting to hear the boys shout to each other things like, "Hey this onw is from Australia, etc." Otherwise, the scouts can be on the internet for 24hrs for the three days due to the different time zones. Important that you register through Intl Division of BSA so that not only can you participate, but you can obtain the really great patches and wallet card for participating. They are available for both adults and youth, and there are special adult links for JOTI!
50 year+ scouter -- have held almost all adult leader positions in Cubs, Scouts, & Venturing, currently serving as Council Scouting for Youth with Disabilities Chair.
